GAME SUMMARY
Battle of the Sexes is an entertaining, competitive game in which you go head-to-head with the opposite sex to determine who is the greatest gender - Male or Female. A player in the game answers questions designed to test his or her knowledge of the opposite gender. The questions are those that only members of that gender should be familiar with.

Players compete against each other, from stereotypical practical skills to everyday knowledge: Does she know how to change a tire? Or can he figure out how to use pinking shears? The object is simple: move your token across the board by correctly answering questions and outsmart your opponents.

The first across the board is declared the "Superior Sex." This funny game ensures several laughs, besides some unuttered declarations from the members when they lose and some sudden new realizations: Battle of the Sexes offers a heap of competitive fun in your game nights. Play now!

Perparation: Divide the players into two teams: Males versus Females. The men sit on the Male side of the board, while the females take the Female side. Place the three Male Challenge Tokens, three Female Challenge Tokens, and three Decision Cards on their respective spaces on the game board. Place one Trophy on the purple START space, setting the rest aside for use later in the game. Shuffle the Female cards and put them back into their card box and repeat the same for the Male cards.

Game Play: The Female Team always goes first. Therefore, the first turn belongs to them.

On the turn of the Female Team, the Male Team draws a card from the Male Deck and reads the question to the Female Team. On the turn of the Male Team, Female Team draws from the Female Deck and reads the question to the Male Team.

The color of the space on which the Trophy rests determines which color question you read. If you are the Reader, do not show your teammates the card, or you might get challenged! Teams should rotate the person reading each time a new card is drawn.

If your team answers correctly, move the trophy one space closer to your side of the board. The other team will then draw a new card and read the next question. After each turn place the old card at the back of the deck. If your team answers incorrectly, your turn is over. Draw a new card and read a question to the other team.

If the opposing team correctly answers a Green question, move the trophy into their Winner's Circle-they win the trophy! That's the end of the round and the trophy stays there in your Winner's Circle to gloat. Put a new trophy on the Start Space, and play moves to the other team.

The first team to win three trophies wins the Battle of the Sexes game. Congratulations-you are the superior sex!

Types of Questions:
Our Facts Our Stuff and our Pics Cards --Read the question aloud to opposing team. "Our Pics" card picture side towards opposing team, read the question. Our Lives Cards Read the question to yourself but, secretly select your answer by choosing a Decision Card-A, B, or C-and place it face down on the board. The other team tries to guess your answer.

Our Moves Cards:
A player from the opposing team selects a move to perform. Both players read the movement silently and then act it out, with no talking at all! The first team to guess which move it was, wins.   Challenge Tokens:
If you don't know the answer to an "Our Facts, Our Stuff, Our Pics," or "Our Lives" question, but think the other team doesn't know it either, you can use one of your Challenge Tokens to throw the question back at them.

To use a Challenge Token:
  • Do not answer the question.
  • Announce you're using a Challenge Token and remove one from the board.
  • The opposing team must now respond to the question on their own.
  • If they get it wrong, move the trophy towards your side of the board and take your turn as though you'd gotten it right.
  • If they get it right, move the trophy towards them and your turn is over.
You only have three Challenge Tokens, so use them sparingly!

Played this on a group date and found out a lot about the other people I was with (some interesting and some I didn't need to know). Still a fun game where both sexes are present. Pretty simple rules and game play was fairly quick.
