GAME SUMMARY
South Sea, 1777: the islands are in the midst of a very eager competition to get their hands on these famous shrunk heads. Since three years ago, when James Cook visited, these major prizes are in high demand until they finally reach the museums. The players are traders; each of them wants to pick up one of these particularly valuable treasures and deliver them to Europe, but the islanders have rigid traditions governing such trades.

Even though the islanders are so keen to trade their shrunken heads with the glass beads offered by the Europeans, the ritual of KAWA needs to be performed. It is only with this special ceremony that trades can be made, and it's not an easy task. The players will need to join in this ritual, whereby the beads become the currency needed to win the much coveted shrunken heads.

Throughout the KAWA game, players are always in competition with each other and struggle with beads in an effort to win more and increasingly valuable treasures. Strategy and negotiation occur because each player tries to outplay their opponent and gain the most heads highly valued. This is a war situation whereby the resourceful or luckiest is bound to prevail.

The player who wins the most shrunken heads in the ritual will leave the island with the ultimate treasure. However, the losers aren't completely empty-handed. They may stay on the island, still part of the game, and are given the chance to provide further treasures in the future, keeping them in the running for more rewards.

Ultimately, it is a competition wherein the player with more valuable treasures wins. A winner attains both glory and treasure, but losers, though not defeated, just carry on the search with a hope for another stroke of good luck in the near future. It's an exciting game with skill, luck, and cultural background that makes interactions of participants lively, funny, and memorable.
