The game finishes one of four ways:
1. The Goth attacks Rome.
2. A player exhausts production cards in his turn.
3. A player arrives in Africa.
4. The building deck is depleted.
No matter how the game is finished, the winner is the player who is furthest from Rome. In case of a tie for more than one player for the furthest distance (something that is only possible in cases 1, 2, and 4), the player with the most resources remaining among the tied players is the winner. In case of further tie, all players tied for the furthest distance win equally!
