GAME SUMMARY
Jinx is a simple dice game wherein players try to get three of their markers in a row on the game board. The entire game is controlled by the roll of two dice: one white and one black. Each roll dictates where players can place their markers on the board, based on where the two dice numbers intersect.

To play, one rolls the white and black dice, and on the point of the board where those two numbers meet is the place you get to put your marker. Well, here it is: if in one round that combination is rolled again, you will erase all the markers you have put on the board. That means each move made has its share of risks because one should avoid repeating a certain combination.

The goal is straightforward: try to place three of your markers in a row to win the round. In this case, if one player has already achieved it, he wins the round and proceeds to the next round. The game is fast-paced; in each round, players attempt to be the first to make up their line of three markers.

To win the overall game, one player must win three rounds. It is a fast and entertaining game that mixes strategy and luck in a fast-paced race for victory.

Perparation: Choose a color. Each player selects all 9 of their colored game pieces. One player is chosen to keep score. Each player rolls the dice to determine who goes first. The player with the highest roll wins.

Game Play: The playing area consists of a grid of blank grey squares. Guiding black and white dice squares line the top and side of the grid to show players where to place their game pieces. First of all, the first player throws both the black and white dice into the game box; the result then dictates where it should go on the board. Once they have placed their piece, the play continues clockwise to the next player, who rolls the dice and places one of his pieces.

There are two major things to look out for in your turn:
  1. If, at any point, you roll and land on a square that already has one of your game pieces, that is a JINX! You will need to take all of your game pieces off of the board and start again.
  2. If you fall on a square occupied by any of your opponent's pieces, you take that opponent's piece off the board and replace it with your own.
The first player to get three of their pieces in a line horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins the round. The winner marks an 'X' on their first circle in the Score sheet. Then all game pieces are cleared from the board and the next round is played starting with the winner.

If you run out of pieces to place and haven't lined up three in a row, you have to take all of your pieces off and start again, although the other players' pieces can stay where they are. A player who wins three rounds, by marking three circles on the Scoresheet, wins the game.

I don't know where I misplaced the game rules but I'm so glad I was able to find a digital copy so I can remember how to play.
