How To Play Libertalia

In Libertalia, players participate in three voyages, also known as rounds. At the beginning of each voyage, every player receives an identical set of six character cards. During the voyage, each day players choose one character from their hand simultaneously. These characters are then placed on the island in order of their rank, with player reputation being used to break any ties. Players activate the daytime abilities of their characters in ascending order, followed by their dusk abilities and loot selection in descending order. Characters then board each player's ship. Finally, the night abilities of characters aboard ships are activated.

Once the voyage is complete, players activate any anchor abilities on their characters and tally their loot tokens and doubloons. They then discard the characters, loot tokens, and doubloons used during the voyage, but keep the unused characters in their hands. After the third and final voyage, players reveal their scores to determine the most prosperous pirate, who will go down in history as such.

Galecrest is a world of sky pirates, who venture out on the winds in search of adventure, treasure, and fame. Each day, the fleet docks at a different island, and players choose a crew member to gather their portion of the loot. They hope that this character will return to the fleet and add to their collection of characters. The game also offers a comprehensive solo mode for those who prefer to play alone.
