GAME SUMMARY
Hasbro's newest issue of the game of Split is a slight departure from how the game originally was played. Whereas in previous versions, success was considered getting from across the board with your piece; in the latest version, new players seek not connection through change but acquiring more points with acquired perfect, strong, and weak varieties of matches that are achievable and no longer board reliant.

According to the type of match, players have a special action when they get a match: A perfect match-one that is performed in one direction-lets the player force another player to fill in a negative box on his scoresheet, adding an element of sabotage. A strong match lets the player draw a card from the draw pile, giving them more options and increasing their chances of success. Weak matches allow players to swap out matches of the same type to enable them to make strategic adjustments and reorganization.

The game encourages strategic thinking because the player tries to make multiple matches in one turn, which is possible. It can result in dynamic gameplay and big point swings. With different types of matches and various combinations available, it makes for a really entertaining and somewhat unpredictable game.

To keep the score, Split uses a special score sheet on which players mark their points every time they make a match. Whoever collects the most points through perfect, strong, and weak matches wins the game. Combining strategy, speed of decision-making, and an evolving set of actions, Split is a fun and engaging game for players of all skill levels.

If you upgrade an opponents match, do you get points for the match? (Otherwise, what is the point of upgrading an opponents match?)

When you upgrade your opponents weak match to a strong match who keeps the strong match? In the rules it seems like the opponent does , but in the example it seems like you get to keep it.
