Sting is a high-risk, high-reward dice game where the stakes are always high. The thrill of the game is trying to beat the dealer's set bar, and the challenge is whether or not you can avoid getting stung. Players do get to decide if they're in or out of each challenge, but beware—getting stung means you have to pay into the pot.
This is an exciting game that resembles gambling games since it is all about taking risks and attempting your luck. The tension builds as the players make their decisions, attempting to finish being the best. It is a game where every roll counts, and every player is attempting to stay in the game and avoid getting stung.
The Sting winner is the one with the highest number of chips by the end of the game. So, for a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat, try Sting and determine how Lady Luck shines on you. It's a thrilling and fast dice game that puts a buzz into every roll!

- Official Sting Game Rules And Instructions

The game is over when there are no chips left in the pot or when there are not enough chips to pay the winnings. Player with the most chips wins at Sting!

Perparation: Each player receives 2 dice and 3 chips. Place the remaining chips in the center of the playing area to form the pot. Any extra dice are not used. The youngest player makes the first move, and play moves to the left.
Game Play: Roll your two dice and add them up. If it adds up to 2, you've got Stung and put 2 chips in the pot. Your turn is over. If the total is 8, you've rolled a Sting! You take 2 chips from the pot, and all players have to pay you 1 chip (players who have no chips do not pay anything). Your turn is over.
If the total is some other number, that's the "target number." You'll have to roll again in hopes of hitting or exceeding the target number. Before rolling, everyone else votes on if they're "in" (i.e., if they want to roll in hopes of hitting or exceeding the target number). When you reach "three," everyone who's "in" rolls their dice. Anyone rolling below the target number must put 1 chip into the pot. Anyone rolling the target number or greater receives 2 chips from the pot. In the event anyone rolls a 2 or an 8 at any point, use the STING and STUNG rules.
If no other players are "in," you roll alone, and your win is doubled. For example, if you match or beat the target number, you'll receive 4 chips instead of 2. Your losses aren't doubled, though.
If a player is owed the pot but has no chips left, he "luck outs" and doesn't pay. A player who has no chips may still roll on his turn to try to win chips.
The game is finished when there are no chips left in the pot, or not enough chips to pay the winnings (these leftover chips stay in the pot). Lost chips are always contributed to the pot before any chips won are taken. The person with the highest number of chips at the conclusion of the game is the winner!
