The essence of Tribond is locating the universal bond between three disparate items, individuals, or things. If you can see connections between things that seem to be unrelated in every way, then you'll become a Tribond master. The trick is noticing patterns and correlations that other people may not perceive, which is why Tribond is such an entertaining and mentally stimulating activity.
A Threezer is a puzzle that consists of three hints, each having a special relationship or shared "bond." Threezers can contain linear relationships, such as "Panda + Teddy + Polar = Bears," or wordplay that requires a bit of mental effort. A few Threezer Riddles employ words that have more than one meaning or spelling but are pronounced alike, such as "miners" and "minors." As players respond orally in Tribond, these types of answers are permitted, which adds to the fun and game play. The more you play, the more you'll find it a breeze to think in "threes" and discover links.
In playing Tribond, players do not need to respond exactly as words appear on the cards. Any words that appear in parentheses are for explanation and aren't included in the necessary response. Players have the choice of whether or not to take an answer at face value, or ask the answering player to "be more specific" or "be less specific." The ability to change direction offers one more layer of strategy for players, since players have to exercise careful consideration when bridging the clues.
Tribond offers hours of entertainment with thousands of riddles that you must solve. Playing with a few or in teams, the hunt for the final space on the board is sure to keep you on your toes. The difficulty of the game gets tougher as you progress, so start practicing now and discover if you can be a Tribond master!
