5th Avenue is a racing board game where players aim to build the best skyscrapers in the best places across New York City. It simply comes down to placing your skyscrapers in places that would have high shopping potential. There, players bid, build skyscrapers and collect building material, and attain rewards for picking the best positions. This really is a testing challenge for any of your estates and construction expertise in making better properties.
The goal of the game is to earn victory points (VP), but it's not as simple as building the most skyscrapers. Players score VP by constructing their skyscrapers in prestigious locations—those surrounded by a variety of businesses. To succeed, you’ll need to focus on both the quantity and the quality of your locations, competing with other players to secure the best spaces in New York City.
Each round offers players four options to do any one of: place businesses, score districts, collect vital bidding cards. Of these, it's especially necessary at auctions as only with those cards will players be able to make any real bids for constructing anything. For the only construction that may occur with a skyscraper is at the time of an auction.
5th Avenue is a game of careful planning, sharp tactics, and timely cooperation with opponents. Making wise decisions about where and when to place the skyscrapers may make all the difference in securing your success on Fifth Avenue. The player who has gained the most victory points at the end of the game is declared the winner. This competitive and strategic game is ideal for up to 4 players looking to test their real estate prowess.
