Perparation: To begin the game, distribute five cards to each player, facing them downwards. Place the remaining cards in the middle of the group. Take the top card from the deck and flip it over, placing it next to the pile. In the event that the first card happens to be an 8, the card is inserted somewhere into the middle of the pile, and a fresh card is drawn and revealed as the new starter card.

Game Play: The objective of the game is to discard all the cards that players have been dealt. They can achieve this by placing their cards on top of the card that has been revealed in the center. This move is permissible only when the card that they intend to discard matches the suit or number of the card in the center.

During gameplay, 8s are wild and can be used as a substitute for any other card. When a player uses an 8, they must state the suit it will represent for the next player's turn. If a player is unable to discard any cards, they must draw cards from the pile until they can make a valid move or until they have reached the maximum limit of five cards.

When a player has successfully discarded all their cards, the round comes to an end, and points are calculated. The remaining cards in the hands of the players are valued as follows:

  • Cards numbered 2 through 9 (excluding 8s) are valued at their face value.
  • Aces are valued at 1 point.
  • Cards 10 through King are valued at 10 points.
  • 8s are valued at 50 points.

After adding up the points, the player with the lowest score wins the game. The game continues until a player accumulates 100 or more points, at which point the player with the lowest score is declared the winner.
