Llamasters is a hilarious party card game with Augmented Reality (an option to use your phone to see through the cards). You'll be playing with cards like the Llaminator, Spitting Llama or even the No Probllama, to name a few, to protect your King/Queen in your search for the three Buddha Llamas. If you are the last person in the game or can successfully collect all three Buddha Llamas, then you'll become the Llamaster and win.
Look out, other players can steal your king/queen from you. Killer Sloth is the llamas biggest enemy and can take you out of the game. Even the Buddha Llama can tear his kingdom down. Llamasters is a highly entertaining game with hilarious elements. Can your strategy be good enough or your luck strong enough to win this game? Share some funny moments with your friends and family while you try to become the Llamaster. Buy your own copy of this card game today.

A nice sturdy game box with raised text that splits and opens in a very unique way all to reveal cards vertically stored in slots? Very impressive. This is such a clever and impressive storage box that reveals neatly organized cards inside. The only thing missing is some light smoke for effect. Game cards have large rounds in the corners with textured materials so you'll be holding some nice cards in your hands. The little rule book inside the box, also stored in its own slot, completes the game very nicely. This rule book is 31 pages but does a nice job explaining the game rules.
Playing Llamasters the first time was definitely a random free for all with very little strategy as players just discarded random cards to see how the game would play out. Then the light bulb turned on in our heads and we realized this is a crazy game with a lot of strategy that will almost always get ruined by all the random things that can happen in the game: trading hands with others, reshuffling all the cards in people's hands and dealing them back out, discarding all cards above four in your hand, etc. The Coach Llama takes the prize for the most random - doing five squats in the middle of a card game?
Llamasters has a lot of potential and we had a good time playing a few times. What we were the most excited about was the augmented reality by using your phone to see "through" the cards with the custom/hidden QR type codes on the cards. Unfortunately, the app didn't support our phone so we couldn't enjoy that part of the game. Hopefully they can expand their support for their app. Being able to come back from the dead is a great option for those that have been eliminated. Other QR codes were in the rule book to help take you to how to videos and FAQs. Looks like their website is still coming up to speed and will be more helpful in the future.
Back to the game. We think you'll enjoy Llamasters if you like a game that is just as strategic as it is random and quirky. With great graphics and fun theme throughout, we think you'll have a blast. Box says ages 14+ but you really only need to know how to read to play (maybe that age is for the phone part). For the current price of $45, it seems really steep for a card game albeit a good one. A price point closer to $20 sounds a bit better. Great game - you'll be glad you have it and will enjoy playing it time and time again.
