We enjoy the game very much but are not sure how you can enter the center square. Don't you have to land on a square directly connected to an arrow? And if so, you can only roll a 1 on the die to then enter the center?

When you get the question wrong in the top level (wits end) you move back down to the purple level. Then on your next turn what happens. Do you have to roll the dice and move one way or the other
