Architektron is a tile-laying game reminiscent of Carcassonne or Fjorde, where players strategically place landscape tiles to accumulate points. The game board consists of tiles arranged in an alternating pattern, resembling a chessboard layout. On one diagonal, players place building tiles, while on the other diagonal, landscape tiles are placed. When a building containing a player's house becomes surrounded, they earn one point if all surrounding landscapes match. However, they lose one, two, or three points if one, two, or three surrounding landscapes do not match. Players have the option to remove their house to mitigate this loss. At the game's conclusion, players earn one point for each house in their longest diagonal group of houses.
