In this amusing game, inspired by the famous tale by Jules Verne, players take on the roles of the members of the London club at the beginning of the 20th century. The challenge has been thrown down: they have to make a round-the-world journey and return in less than 80 days if they want to win the bet and be admired by the other club members. In order to travel around, players will rely heavily on taking trains and ships from destination to destination.
There are various means of managing to speed up travel along the way by special types of transportation: balloons and elephants. Those indeed give great boosts to be ahead, yet they can always bring complications in their own right. In any case, every use of these special travel options should be thoroughly thought out.
But there is one big obstacle not to get across-the relentless detective who is after their heads. Every time he catches up with any one of the players, he interrogates them, setting their progress way back. Players have to stay ahead of him so they don't waste any of their precious time.
