Perparation: Take out the Been There, Done That card deck from the game box. Each player grabs a scoring sheet, a pencil, one YES card, and one NO card. The player who is the tallest starts the game.

Game Play: The first player rolls the Been There, Done That die to determine whether they choose a Been There or Done That card from the deck. They then draw the card and pick one of the four scenarios to read out loud. Each player privately indicates whether they've Been There or Done That by placing a YES or NO card face down in front of them. Players guess how many people in the group have played a YES card for that scenario and note their guess on their score pad. Players reveal their responses one by one. Finally, count the number of YES cards and score accordingly.

Players earn points by accurately guessing the number of people in the group who have played a YES card. If a player's guess is correct, they circle the number to signify a point earned. However, if the guess is incorrect, the player draws a line through the number, indicating that no points were scored.

Bonus points can be earned in rounds where a player rolls a +1. If a player rolls a +1, they have the option to choose either a Been There or Done That card. In that round, each player who guesses correctly will receive an extra point. The player then circles the number and writes a +1 in the square, signifying the bonus point earned. This means the player gains 2 points for that round: 1 point for the correct guess and 1 bonus point.

Once all 9 rounds are finished, players add up their points. The player with the highest score is declared the winner. In the event of a tie, roll the die and choose a Been There or Done That card. The player who can answer yes to the most scenarios on the card wins the tiebreaker.

In the variation for playing with 8+ players, the game mechanics remain unchanged, but scoring is adjusted slightly. For each correct guess, a player earns 2 points, marked by two circles on the score sheet. If a player's guess is off by just one number, either higher or lower, they receive 1 point, indicated by a single circle on the score sheet. The player with the highest total points at the end of the game emerges as the winner.

We always start our game nights with this game. It's fun to play with new people and also has scenarios you can play with people you know well. Clean, fun, great ice-breaker.
